NetBackup Managed Service & Solutions Support Contract
Solutions can provide assistance in the ongoing support of NetBackup with our Solutions Support Contract or Managed Service
Our relationship with Veritas around Data Protection enables us to have priority access to Veritas technical support and our consultants are accredited to the same level as Veritas own consultants. We are also one of only a handful of partners across EMEA able to perform NBU catalog merge.
Support Contracts can be tailored to meet a specific customer’s requirement including telephone Support and on-site consultancy days. Our team of engineers would typically be able to resolve issues themselves and in instances where calls had to be escalated to Veritas would be managed by us allowing the customer to free up a valuable resource from troubleshooting.
Please see below an overview of the Managed Service we provide in the UK or on the Global basis, working 9.00am – 5.30pm UK business hours Monday – Friday
- Report on backup success
- Report on backup failures
- Problem solve failures
All for a fixed price and then we provide fixed price ad hoc services around:
- Add/Change and delete a Backup Policy
- Ad Hoc reporting
- Firmware updates
- Other Operational Services
For issues with the product or hardware, we will log the call internally for NetBackup and one of our approved NetBackup Consultants will work on the problem. For other hardware we will log the call with the vendor when the problem has been pin pointed.
We will advise on license compliance every 90 days and expect you to purchase any required licenses. We also advise on capacity ultization every 90 days and expect you to purchase additional equipment or reduce the amount of backup performed based on our advice. The aim here is to ensure the backup environment will remain fit for purpose.
